A brighter future is in your hands. We currently have a full time position available for aBusiness Developer/Estimator with our BrightView Landscape Development team. We are seeking someone who is driven, disciplined and focused, enjoysprospectingand able to open new doors as ahunter of new business.
What you'll do:
Create rapport, credibility and build trust-based relationships while developing value-based solutions for clients
Qualify opportunities with key decision makers, build and present compelling and customer-centric proposals
Prospect and actively sell to a variety of customer segments, beresilient and persistent in CLOSING DEALS
Work at a fast pace environment while operating with a high sense of urgency
Understand the value and benefit of going deeper and broader with existing relationships
Plan daily, hit specific activity benchmarks and close business
Work well with the operations team members, leveraging their expertise with yours
• Gather, calculate and compile take-off data for use in bid proposal estimates• Prepare routine estimates under the supervision of the Project Estimator, Senior Estimator, Chief Estimator, Pre-Construction Manager or Project Manager• Maintain current and accurate information on prices from suppliers and subcontractors• Utilize standard estimate computer software to present information to management• Demonstrate role model behaviors on ethics and integrity
Skills we're seeking:
Extensive face-to-face (B2B) selling experience at the mid to senior levels
Experience managing multiple projects and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Experience with a CRM or SFA tool highly desired
Proficient with On-Screen Take-Off and HCSS preferable
PROVEN track record of sales goal attainment in a longer selling cycle environment
Highly competitive, positive, and results driven sales person
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills to build client-centric and solution/value-based proposals
Working experience with social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management or related field of study, or equivalent work experience preferred
Coach-able, trainable, and have a good sense of humor
Local knowledge and contacts in our market segments highly preferred
